We were recently awarded a multi-year Private Duty Nursing contract with Frederick County Public Schools. What You'll Do You will be assigned as the dedicated LPN for one medically fragile FCPS student during the school day, working under RN clinical oversight from our Clinical Supervisor. Typical responsibilities include: • Administering medications per LPN scope and physician orders • Performing G-tube/J-tube feedings, suctioning, tracheostomy care (per orders), catheter care, and wound care • Monitoring vital signs and reporting changes to the RN Clinical Supervisor and school health team • Assisting with ADLs, transfers, positioning, and toileting (OSHA safe-lift guidelines — single-person ≤ 35 lbs; two-person ≤ 70 lbs; PT team provides refresher training) • Documenting all care in the student's daily nursing record and providing copies to the school health staff at time of visit • Coordinating with the FCPS School Nurse, Health Services Specialist, and classroom teacher • Accompanying the student on field trips and school transportation Required Qualifications • Active Maryland LPN license in good standing • Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (pediatric, school health, or home health strongly preferred) • Ability to pass FCPS fingerprint-based criminal background check (Adam Walsh Act / Child Care background) and MSDE Employment History Review for child abuse and sexual misconduct • Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical duties associated with student care • Reliable transportation to Frederick County school sites • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with tracheostomy, G-tube feedings, or medically complex pediatric patients • Prior school-based nursing experience • Familiarity with IEP/504 accommodations Why Work with EagleWings • Predictable schedule — Monday–Friday, school calendar, no nights/weekends, holidays off • Consistent assignment — one student, build a real clinical relationship • W-2 employee — we handle taxes, workers' comp, and professional liability coverage • RN clinical support — dedicated Clinical Supervisor • Paid orientation and school-specific training before your first day • Career stability — 3-year contract with 2-year renewal option (potential through 2031) Location: Frederick County, MD (Frederick County Public Schools sites) Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time, School Year (Aug 2026 – Jun 2027, with summer school opportunities and multi-year renewal) Pay: $38.00 – $40.00 per hour (based on pediatric and complex care experience) Benefits • Free Health, Dental and Vision to Eaglewings Employee • State Issued 401K • Weekly pay, direct deposit • Recognition and retention program We are here to offer you something GREAT.
